It is imperative that mineral exploration companies refine their social media practices. The following is a post prepared by a company on LinkedIn. The post contains numerous inaccuracies, making it impractical to summarize in a single post. The errors range from the misclassification of inferred resources and the use of inaccurate effective dates.
We have identified numerous inaccuracies and question the Canadian Securities Administrators’ (CSA) acceptance of obvious errors that are submitted to SEDAR+. Some of the more egregious errors include:
- “Bonanza vein”
- Failing to include key assumptions, parameters, and methods used to estimate the mineral resources
- Omitting the effective date of the mineral resource
- Incorrectly referencing the Technical Report
- Incorrectly referencing the 43-101 version.
This oversight can potentially lead to misleading disclosures and flaws, which is concerning.
